Coordinated quarterly by the Library, the Village of Warwick and Ye Olde Warwick Book Shoppe, the Warwick Cafe Reading Project puts multiple free copies of the same book in cafes around Warwick. The book is chosen by popular vote on the Library's website and is intended to stimulate conversation and a shared reading experience. The project is entirely underwritten by the Albert Wisner Public Library Foundation.
The Summer 2016 title for the Warwick Cafe Reading Project is the classic 1951 coming-of-age novel The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. Whether you're revisiting the book years after high school, or encountering it for the first time, you will find copies by early July at Caffe a la Mode, Noble Pies Cafe, Sugar Shack Cafe, Conscious Fork, Jean-Claude's Patisserie and Tuscan Cafe. After reading the book, either return it to the cafe where you found it, or pass it along to a friend or family member.
Enjoy, and keep reading!
