Learn the basics of critical thinking!

How do we arrive at unbiased and well-informed opinions about issues? The process of critical thinking can guide us to better decisions in everyday life. Critical thinking helps bridge the gap between blindly accepting information and analyzing it to ascertain the actual facts of the matter. Critical thinking skills single out the components of arguments -- issues, conclusions, reasons, evidence, assumptions, language -- and show how to spot fallacies, manipulations or other obstacles to clear understanding. These skills aid in determining alternative points of view and help to develop a solid foundation for making personal choices about what to accept and what to reject.

In these sessions, we will examine and practice this method of clearer analyses leading to better outcomes.
