This class is designed for beginning musicians and music fans who wish to understand the components of music and how these components work. The basics of chords and chord progression, melody and harmony will be discussed. Pace and direction is set, in part, by student background and interest. You do not need a knowledge of music - only a desire to learn! This class will meet for four consecutive Wednesdays; attendance at all classes is strongly recommended.Barry Wiesenfeld has been a professional musician for decades and teaches bass and Music Appreciation both for the State University of New York and privately.
